Background: Mother-to-child-transmission (MTCT) is one of the common modes Hepatitis B transmission.Though there improved childhood vaccination in India, MTCT accounts for about 50% newHepatitis infection. Preventing utmost importance decreasing feet B. Preventionrequires expectant mothers to be aware disease and understand consequences Btransmission their child. The study aimed determine knowledge, attitude practice (KAP) towardsHepatitis among seeking antenatal care a tertiary hospital metropolitan city.Methods: After obtaining Ethics clearance from Institutional Committee, this cross sectional wasconducted 163 women attending outpatient inpatient department Obstetrics andGynecology centre. Data collection was done using questionnaire analysis doneusing IBM SPSS version 26.0Results: Forty nine percent participants were hepatitis Only 7% awareof mother child transmission. Socio-demographic factors like age, education, socioeconomic status werestatistically significantly associated with awareness regarding B, but gravid not. None ofthe National Viral Control Program (NVHCP) launched by Governmentof India its provisions.Conclusions: need creating exists, since asubstantial number females lack knowledge positive which reflects as poor practices
